Rebuilt the World War II Honor Roll in 1995
Held its Annual SCHS Memorial Day Ceremony every year since 1995
Collected the stories of 140 veterans in its book “Hometown Heroes”
Produced two videos of World War II veterans telling their stories
Participated in organizing the Sunset Hills Historical Society Vietnam Traveling Wall project in 2013
Participated as a sponsor of the Sappington House USACares Give and Glow (2015, 2016)
Educating students
Performed Tombstone Tales for elementary and middle school students
Provided hands-on programs for elementary school students
Provided hanks-on educational activities at the 2016 Sappington House archaeological dig
Preserving local history
Produced a comprehensive history of the area; “Sappington-Concord: A History”
Produced a newsletter quarterly since 1992 featuring local history
Held quarterly meetings with informative historical presentations since 1992
Maintained a growing collection of documents, photos and artifacts relating to the Sappington-Concord area
