Yes, most likely these are peoples of this very neighborhood, some 200 plus years ago, before suburbia. Hear their stories in NEW TOURS at Historic Sappington House, the house you didn’t really know until now. Come hear, see and taste of their lives.
The three peoples in the new Sappington House tours are…
• The enslaved of the Sappington farm/plantation
• The women of Sappington House
• The peoples of the surrounding fields and forest
Tours on Saturdays in April; 1:00 to 3:00 pm
April 7 Enslaved African Americans
April 14 Pioneer Women
April 21 Native Americans
The Barn Restaurant at Sappington House will serve “re-imagined” snacks, food of the era, for each featured people
Fees: $10 for adults*
$1 for children under 12
Fee includes tour and re-imagined snacks
