The archaeological dig at Sappington House - For students

The Library of Americana and the Decorative Arts at Sappington House

The Sappington House has its own library; “The Library of Americana and Decorative Arts.” It is a reading room and research library with a collection of materials on Americana and another on the decorative arts. The original core of the collection began with books used to research and acquire furnishings for the Sappington House. That effort was led by by Mrs McDonnel at the time the house was restored in the 1960s. A painting of her is hung over the fireplace in the reading room. The public may use the books for reference in the reading room
