About Distinguished Guest Speaker, Rhonda Evenson
Rhonda Evenson, Lieutenant Colonel, Logistics, Retired, US Army, Minnesota Army National Guard
LTC Evenson completed a combat tour during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006 and 2007 as a Battalion Operations Officer near Nasiriyah Iraq where she was responsible for the security and safety of a Joint Operations Area which included two Joint Force Bases with 12,000 international military and civilian personnel.
She retired in March 2013 with 31 years of service which encompassed Active Duty, traditional (weekend) National Guard Duty, and full-time employment with the Minnesota National Guard as an officer supporting operations, logistics, administration, planning, and mobilization.
Her medals and awards include a Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation and Army Achievement Medals, and other traditional service medals. She also was awarded the Minnesota Sate Active Duty Medal four times in support of her state and local mission.
Lieutenant Colonel Evenson’s military education included Officer Candidate School, Quartermaster Officer Basic and Transportation Officer Advanced Courses, Combined Arms and Services School, and Command and General Staff College.
Rhonda’s civilian education includes a Bachelor of Education and a Masters in Public Administration with as specialization in Human Resource Development.
Rhonda currently works for the Veterans Health Administration on the Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Center Campus as an Education Analyst and is married with two children and resides in Oakville.
