Many members of the Sappington-Concord Historical Society are excellent and experienced researchers. Some are more at the beginners end of the scale. Where ever you are on the scale, you can learn more on these tours. For those members who would like to learn more about the ways and places to do family research, genealogy, we will be touring several research libraries. These tours will also be helpful for those starting to research the history of the Sappington-Concord area, or South County in general.

Report on the tour for those who missed it:
Emily Jaycox, head librarian, and Dennis Northcutt, archivist, gave us a tour of the reading room and collections, reference and research materials. They included samples of materials related to the Sappington-Concord area including platt maps, an anniversary booklet from St Lucas UCC church from 1930, and the copies of Concord Farmers Club membership roster from Ross Wagner.
Ms. Jaycox had a consolation prize for those who could not make it to the library for this enlightening tour; the Missouri History Museum Genealogy and Local History Index which can be found at genealogy.mohistory.org. See what you can find there. She said you might be surprised and very pleased with what you come across!
Going into the MO History Museum Library is an experience in itself!
