Historical interpretation is affected by the biases of those who write history. Additionally, the history of any particular museum is complicated and may be entangled with colonialism and racism. Historians should be aware of these biases and attempt to interpret history through diverse lenses. In that way, the many audiences are included in our shared histories.

Thursday, June 15 – The Saint Louis Immigrant Experience by Daniel Gonzales, Historian, St. Louis County Park and Recreation. Through historic and contemporary photographs this presentation explores the story of immigration to St. Louis from 1830 through today.
