Synopsis: Molly discusses her 2015 book that collects 160 love letters that St. Louisan James Love wrote to his fiancee, Eliza Mary “Molly” Wilson, during the Civil War, along with selected documents from the Missouri History Museum collection that touch on U. S. Grant’s life and career.

Unconditional Surrender: An Afternoon with President Grant, written and performed by Pete Grady of Marshalltown, Iowa
Synopsis: Pete Grady’s one-man show uses music, photographs, cartoons, maps and drawings to explore Ulysses Grant’s successes and failures in military and civilian life and provides the audience with a new understanding of Grant.

Frank explores A. Lincoln’s role, and Grant’s role on and off the battlefield, as the 1864 contest of presidential nominees unfolded.
